Jupiter is the most massive planet in the solar system. It's mass is 318 times that of the Earth, and more than twice the mass of all the other planets combined. For astrophotography, it is also by far the most interesting planet. The visual surface displays fascinating bands of rapidly moving colored bands of gas. The Great Red Spot, a persistent anti-cylone storm, is readily visible in even the smallest telescopes.
